Before applying for an internal opening, please consider the following:
- Have you been in your current role for at least 6 months?
- In order to have adequately demonstrated your capabilities in your current role, we ask that you spend at least 6 months in that role before applying for something else.
- Are you in good standing?
- To be considered for another role you must also be in good standing with the company. This means you are not currently under a Performance Improvement Plan or other disciplinary measure.
- Does your supervisor know that you plan to apply to another position of interest?
- You must discuss your career development interests with your supervisor. Not only can they help coach you for your interview process, but they can also help you get any additional skills or experience that you might need for your position of interest.
Please keep in mind throughout this process that as a member of GEON Nation you are already part of a team of associates who are driven to Win Together. If the outcome of your application does not result in you moving into a new position, it will still Create Opportunities for you by providing actionable ideas/experience on what it will take to get where you would like to go.
